Quitting Smoking! I have a system that may get you started!By Nick Bellini 1. You have to want to quit! If you really don’t nothing is going to work! 2. This system doesn't ask that you quit smoking all together or even reduce the number of cigarettes you smoke daily. You just have to commit to smoking in designated areas. I realize that cigarettes are addictive and the longer you go without one the stronger the desire. But they are also a habit and people light up without even thinking about it. It’s just automatic. If we can cut down the number of cigarettes you light up out of habit we can cut out probably 25 -50% of the cigarettes you smoke daily! The less you smoke over time the less the urge will be and the longer you'll be able to go without a cigarette. OK? Here’s the PLAN!
1. No smoking in the car! Keep a pack of cigarettes in your trunk and when you really need one stop the car in a safe place and have one outside the car. 2. No smoking in the house! When you really need one pull yourself away from the Big Screen HD TV and go out on the deck or back stairs etc. and have a smoke! 3. Try to make your smoking area the least convenient and comfortable place you can find. The PLAN doesn't ask you to quit, it just ask you to make it inconvenient. This a small price to pay if you really want to quit or at least reduce the number of cigarettes you smoke. The longer you follow this plan the fewer cigarettes you will smoke and that strong urge to smoke will get weaker and weaker to the point that you should be smoking so few cigarettes (5 or less a day) that you should be able to quit all together. Even if you don’t quit entirely (which you should) you will be adding years to your life. Tip:
Don’t let this plan stop you from other ways of quitting like
the “patch” etc. THAT’S IT! GOOD LUCK! |
